The horse races at Keeneland started today. I think we'll try and make it tomorrow so nana can witness the spectacular thoroughbreds in all their glory. Our favorite activity at Keeneland however is to visit Saturday mornings for the Breakfast (which is unlike anything you have ever seen- biscuits and gravy and sausage and eggs and ham and I'm not sure what else they call breakfast around here, but it is, at least, delicious) and to watch the horses train on the track. It is always chilly which makes for wonderful hot chocolate sipping and is also entertaining for little ones because the horses are continuously on the track as opposed to the actual races where they sprint past you in one horsey blur.
