one of the great things about living in kentucky, is the abundance of historical sites within a short jaunt from home. a few weekends ago, my good friend allie came to visit and we decided to make the trek down to the quaint little town of danville, where we explored constitution square and had a picnic on a bed of leaves. Although we missed the annual re-enactment, we still drove the short ten miles to see the site of the historic battle of perryville...and with weather and company as perfect as ours, the trip couldn't have been better!
