the Blessing of the Hounds

Have you ever been to a real, live, fox hunt? No? Well, I have. And let me tell you. It is awesome. Like supercalifregalisticexpealidocious awesome.


The Blessing of the hounds was held at shaker village on a crisp november morning. a priest attended and 'blessed' the hounds, horses, and riders with health and attentiveness. He also thanked the Lord for the abundance of the earth. It was quite beautiful.

as were all sorts of fantastic looking riders.
