one of the many things we did while my family was here, was visit the Henry Clay estate, known as Ashland. It is certainly one of the most well maintained historical homes I have ever visited and although we didn't tour the interior this time, we walked around the grounds and saw the ice, dairy, and carriage houses, the privy, and the beautiful gardens, which were even beautiful on a blistery blustery november day...
