end of year events

We've had an abundance of end of year celebrations over the last few weeks, and we've been able to make it to most of them. We took the girls to the med/peds barbeque at Dr. Feddock's, (the program director) house. Savannah played with dr feddock's five year old son, Mason. They played upstairs in his room together and when we left she gave Mason a great big hug- so tightly that he couldn't move and then- then she kissed him on the lips. On the lips! and said, thanks so much for having me come over to your house! savannah was glued to branden and smiled a consistent cheese throughout the whole photography session. then, when it was finished she put her arms up in the air and said, tada!

next we attended the graduation dinner for the internal medicine program. The program director spoke about each graduating resident and i was informed that apparently at the senior roast, which we missed, and where they give out awards- branden recieved two awards. the first was "part time resident" because he works more frequently at er's and hospitals throughout kentucky moonlighting than he does at UK. and the second award was for "re-populating the earth." So at the dinner, where I knew about six out of the hundred people, I was introduced about ninety-four times as the "baby producer." I mean seriously? This is only my third baby, it's not like its my twelth.

on friday I took the girls to the GME picnic at the Kentucky Horse Park. It was really fun. Hot and humid but so fun! we got there early and I snapped some pictures of the girls before we started. they loved running around, playing in the pebble pit by the great oak tree and even went for pony rides. which they LOVED!
