I recently finished this wonderful book and it has my mind brewing with all sorts of thoughts. If I took writing personally I would be very offended. Why? Because according to hooked I have done everything wrong. However, I am not offended. Rather, I am thrilled that I finally feel like I have a direction to take and some guidance to follow. It is quite nice to feel like I'm not the only one who has this problem (not knowing what place is the perfect place to start your story). In fact there must be thousands of us or why else would there be a book written about it?
p.s. this contest looks pretty helpful for story beginnings too!
